WHO am I?
Purpose + Goal
As an amateur foodie, I decided to take foods in grade 8 where I began to know how science and food work hand in hand with one another. It became apparent as I continued each year ( till now in grade 11) that food give way for communities to form and to exchange customs. I would not call myself a chef as I do not have much experiment but I could call myself a curious experimenter when it comes to making food as I enjoy taking risks ( especially trying new food combinations).
As a child, I grew up with asian cuisine at home, specifically from Hong Kong and Macau, and I never really thought it meant much until I was brought there for the first time. I learnt that there are 2 different types of food as a young primary school student. 1- convenient food to eat as you go about your day which includes snacks, bread and fast food. 2- warm meals that have been prepared by either family or dining at a fancier restaurant as opposed to fast food diners. The main difference between these two that I discovered were time and purpose.

I hope this serves as a journal to look back on past food ideas to give me and my viewers some inspiration to continue experimenting with your food! Don't be afraid to try new concepts and to embrace new exotic flavours because who knows, you might unexpectedly fall in love with it. It may take some time for those who do not enjoy food to discover the vast selection they can choose from but never had the opportunity to, however, in the meantime, why not enjoy the occasion in which we call "cooking together"?
